Popular actor Kedar Ghimire, known as ‘Magne Budha’, has been signed for director Krisha Chaulagain’s third film Jahajai Ma. The film’s production team signed a formal agreement with Kedar on Tuesday.
This marks the first collaboration between Krisha and Kedar in a film.
After the signing, director Krisha said,
“Kedar ji is one of the most beloved actors today. He has a very important role in our film. We’re thrilled to have him on board.”
Pre-production work for the film is currently in full swing. To assist with it, producer Ujwal Guragain has arrived in Nepal from Japan. He formally signed the agreement with Kedar today.
It is reported that Kedar was paid an amount roughly similar to his current market rate. However, the production team has not officially disclosed the exact figure.
The film will feature a multi-starrer cast. Talks with other actors are ongoing, though none have been finalized yet.
Japanese actress Ruzel Ichimiya has already been confirmed. The film’s story spans Nepal, Japan, and the Philippines.
Under the banner of UNA Productions, filming is set to begin from Bhadra (August/September). The movie will be shot in Nepal, Japan, and the Philippines.
