Renowned model and actor Nirajan Pradhan, once a dominant figure in Nepali music videos, has returned to the entertainment industry—not as an actor, but as a director. He has made his directorial debut with the recently released music video for the song “Maya Basyo”.
Sung by Sugam Pokharel and Samikshya Adhikari, the music video stars Keki Adhikari and Raghav Dahal. The video follows a photo-story narrative style, portraying the deep love between a romantic couple.
The storyline begins with love at first sight and evolves into a deeper emotional connection. The lyrics express how their love is “deeper than the ocean and longer than the river,” highlighting how they admire and appreciate each other’s habits and personalities. The song, written by Sargam Ghatane, ends with a heartfelt promise to stand by each other through all of life’s ups and downs.
Yogesh Kaji Shah composed and arranged the music, while Manoj Pariyar handled the mixing and mastering. The video was shot by Arjun Tiwari, with drone shots by Suresh Kafle. Praveen Shrestha managed the editing and color grading, and Roshan Bishwakarma choreographed the dance sequences.
The video is produced in collaboration with Success Education and Visa Services, with Sanuska Dahal serving as the producer.
Nirajan, who also acted in several Nepali films in the past, shared,
“I had always wanted to try direction. Now the opportunity came. Just like audiences appreciated my acting, I hope they will support my direction too.”
