Film producer Kiran Nepali is set to make his directorial debut with a new Nepali feature film titled Mahadasha. The announcement, along with the release of the film’s pre-teaser, was made on Wednesday at an event held at Raja Lounge, Vishwajyoti Mall, Jamal.
The film, produced under the banner of Lekali Entertainment, unveiled its pre-teaser through the official YouTube channel of Budha Subba. Nepali, who has already worked as a producer in dozens of films, is stepping into direction for the first time.
The pre-teaser showcases lead actors Pramod Agrahari, Prema Lamgade, and Hakim Gurung in traditional attire, while the names of other cast members will be revealed later, according to the production team.
Written by Manish Gautam, Mahadasha is backed by producers Rajendra K. Shah, Shyam Magar, and Amala Devi Rai, with Suraj Acharya serving as the executive producer.
The film is said to explore themes of tradition, culture, and spirituality, while also delving into mysterious societal events and the influence of celestial bodies and karma on human life. With Anish Adhikari and Samar Chaulagain as production managers, the release date will be announced after the completion of filming.
