The debut directorial film of Ekta Paudel, Harsha, has unveiled its first look poster. On Monday morning, two posters of the film were released. The film is set to release on Mangsir 12.
Both released posters present the main cast members of the film. In one poster, actor Khagendra Lamichhane, actresses Barsha Raut and Sharmila Malla are seen in cheerful moods, reflecting the title Harsha, with sweet smiles on their faces, while Santosh Pant is seen with a slightly dissatisfied look, glancing sideways.
In this poster, Khagendra and Barsha are seen enjoying time with their son, portrayed by child actor Simon Wadi. Similarly, in the second poster, Khagendra and Barsha are once again seen with sweet smiles, while in the background possibly a song sequence of the film can be noticed, where Santosh Pant along with Bishal Pahari, Luniva Tuladhar, Mao Tse Gurung, and Anshu Maharjan are seen dancing and enjoying.
In this poster, child actor Simon is presented in the attire of child Krishna. Likewise, actor Nir Shah is shown in a serious expression. These two released posters clearly indicate that the film tells the story of the ups and downs of family life. In this sense, audiences will get to watch a family drama after quite a long time.
Debut director Ekta Paudel is seen carrying the legacy of her late uncle, director Shiv Regmi, who was well-known for family-oriented films. Earlier, she had also released the title video remembering her uncle.
Director Paudel studied filmmaking at the New York Film Academy and graduated in Mass Communication, also completing a Master’s degree in Management and Leadership. She has previously made some short films. The entire shooting of the film has been completed in Chitwan and it is currently in the post-production phase. Paudel has been saying that she and her team will present Harsha to audiences in the best way possible.
The film stars Khagendra Lamichhane, Barsha Raut, Nir Shah, Santosh Pant, Sharmila Malla, Mao Tse Gurung, Bishal Pahari, Nima Pandey, Luniva Tuladhar, Anshu Maharjan, Renu Pradhan, Suvarn Thapa, Shristi Maharjan, Sangita Napit and child actor Simon Wadi.
Under the banner of Ashtalakshmi Productions and E-Prime Movies, the story of the film has been written by director Paudel herself. The film features Alok Shukla (cinematography), Samir/Himal, Basanta Sapkota, Alish Karki (music), Lokesh Bajracharya (editing), and choreography by Sunil Chhetri and Ekta Paudel.
The producers are Prasanna Paudel and Bikash Paudel, while Hikmat Chokhal is the executive producer. The film includes lyrics written by late Shiv Regmi, Dr. Krishna Hari Baral, Pavitra Ghimire, and Neerkamal Khadka. Ishwor Ghimire is the production manager and Kuldeep Adhikari is the chief assistant director.
The film will be distributed by Govinda Shahi’s Kafia Films, while its digital rights have been acquired by Budha Subba Digital.
