On the day of Laxmi Puja during Tihar, actress Puja Sharma has been signed as the lead in the film Mahadasha. The production team has confirmed her as the main female lead of the project.
Speaking on Monday after signing the agreement, Sharma expressed her happiness and excitement about joining the film.
The film marks the directorial debut of producer Kiran Nepali. Previously, Niruta Singh, Uttam Pradhan, hip-hop artist Hakim Gurung, Pramod Agrahari, and Prema Lamgade had already been signed. Other cast members include Binod Nyaupane, Rear Rai, Prabhat Lama, Ramchandra Adhikari, Kamal Devkota, Pushkar Bhatt, Dinesh Kafle, Ranjan Koirala, Yubik Raj Shah, Smriti Kalmar, and Eliz Pun.
Niruta and Uttam, known as the iconic on-screen pair from the classic film Darpan Chhaya, will reunite in this project. Alongside them, audiences can look forward to a powerful performance from the popular contemporary actress Pooja Sharma.
According to director Kiran Nepali, the film will portray various aspects of society and the challenging realities of life through its narrative.
Produced under the banner of Lekali Entertainment, Mahadasha features a screenplay by Manish Gautam. Rajendra Shah, Shyam Magar, and Amaladevi Rai are the producers, while Suraj Acharya — known for his long involvement in technical and production management — serves as the executive producer.
