The film “Man Binako Dhan,” starring child actor Ashok Darji, is currently in its second week of screening across theaters in Nepal. The movie earned over NPR 1.67 crore at the Nepali box office in its first week.
The film is also being screened from Thursday in Qatar, UAE, and Bahrain. In Qatar, both shows on Thursday and Friday were reported as houseful, making it the first Nepali film to achieve this milestone in the country. Distributors Hari Moktan, Krishna Bhattarai, and Saathibhai Entertainment are managing the release in Qatar, UAE, and Bahrain. The film has also performed well in UAE and Bahrain.

The movie, based on Ashok Darji’s real-life story, has received positive reactions from overseas audiences. It is expected to be screened soon in Saudi Arabia and Korea.
Audiences in Nepal have been highly impressed, with emotional scenes showing viewers hugging and crying with Ashok, which have gone viral on social media. Viewers ranging from school children to their parents have left theaters emotionally moved.
The cast includes Ashok Darji, Saroj Khanal, Santosh Pant, Rama Thapliya, Neeta Dhungana, Bhola Sapkota, Buddhi Tamang, Ramesh Bishwakarma, Ravindra Jha, Parvati Adhikari, Utsav Sapkota, A.R. Budhathoki, Shankar Shrestha, Samrajni Thapa, Bina Raut, Babu Parajuli, Raksha Shrestha, Priyanka Jha, Binay Adhikari, Aryan Pokhrel, Vijay Dangol, among others.
Directed and produced by Tank Budhathoki, the story was written by Budhathoki himself, with the screenplay and dialogues by Shivam Adhikari. The film is presented by Tank Budhathoki Production, produced by Vishnumaya Mainali, with Minu Sharma (Sapna) as executive producer, co-producers G.P. Sangrola, Bibek Nepal, Vijaya Pandey, and Tikaram Budhathoki as the creative director.
