Trailer of ‘Muglan’ Released

Kathmandu: The trailer of the upcoming Nepali film Muglan, scheduled for release on Poush 10, has been officially launched. The production team released the 2-minute and 24-second trailer on Thursday via the Yuna Digital YouTube channel.

The trailer portrays the struggles of Nepali youths compelled to leave the country due to political instability and conflict. Set against the backdrop of the post-2052 BS political environment, the story highlights how young people were pushed abroad amid tensions between the government and then-rebel forces.

The film follows protagonist Prabhat Pal, who leaves for a foreign land to pay off the village chief’s debt. Upon his return, he finds his home empty and his parents missing. Whether they were killed, abducted, or disappeared for other reasons is a mystery that the film promises to uncover.

The trailer also showcases the romantic relationship and separation between lead actors Prabhat Pal and Smarika Dhakal. Other cast members featured include Ramchandra Adhikari, Dinesh DC, Sabin Bastola, Khabpu, Shree Shivanshu, Moti Subedi, Raju Raj Soni, Rashmi Bhatt, and Jeevan Gautam.

Produced under the banner of Rihan Production, Muglaan is written and directed by Ashish Dhakal. The film is produced by Goman Singh, with Rita Chaudhary serving as co-producer.

The music is composed by Kiran Bhushal, with vocals by Shantishree Pariyar, Pratap Das, Benisha Paudel, and Hari Giri (Vimarshi). Lyrics are written by Ashish Dhakal, Sirjana Lamsal, and Hari Giri (Vimarshi). RR Films will handle the film’s distribution.

The production team has announced that the film’s trailer, teaser, and songs are available on the Yuna Entertainment YouTube channel.
