Kathmandu — The title song of Nepali film ‘Gobar Ganesh’ has been released, featuring vocals by actor-director Marichman Shrestha, popularly known as Balchhi Dhurbe. The song’s lyrics and music are composed by Babul Giri.
Catchy and light-hearted in tone, the song reflects the overall mood and narrative presentation of the film. Through its music, lyrics, and visuals, the track clearly establishes ‘Gobar Ganesh’ as a comedy-based film.
The song highlights the struggles of a character who excels in many aspects of life but faces challenges due to weak academic performance. It portrays how poor educational outcomes can affect self-confidence and create negative perceptions within society and peer groups.
Choreographed by Gambhir Bisht, the music video places Shrestha at the center, with actors Barsha Shiwakoti and Nirmal Sharma also featuring prominently.
Directed by Marichman Shrestha, ‘Gobar Ganesh’ is scheduled for release on Magh 1. The film has completed shooting and is currently in post-production.
Produced under the banner of Balchhi Dhurbe Films, the cast includes Vinod Neupane, Padam Tamang, Nirmal Sharma, Laxminath Timilsina, Santosh Baniya, Sandeep Lama, Mao Tse Gurung, Sitadevi Timilsina, Poojan Ghimire (Puku), Buddhi Tamang, Bishal Pahari, Ramesh Budhathoki, and Swastika Lamichhane, among others.
The film features Taranath Neupane as Chief Assistant Director, Yogesh Kaji Shah on background score, Shankar Pandey as producer, Shivraram Shrestha as Director of Photography, and Bipin Malla as editor. OSR Digital serves as the digital partner, while distribution in Nepal will be handled by Shri Backtales Entertainment.
