‘Doko Bunne’ Song from Film ‘Kumari’ Released

Kathmandu — The third song, ‘Doko Bunne’, from the much-anticipated romantic film ‘Kumari’, set for nationwide release on Magh 23, has been unveiled.

The song was released during a special press meet held at One Cinemaz in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu. Following the positive response to earlier songs ‘Kata Chhau Mero Phool’ and ‘Timi Bina’, the makers have now presented this folk-inspired track.

Sung by Kehar Singh Limbu, the song features lyrics by Sagar Lamichhane Magar and Suman Tamang, with music composed by Suman Tamang and Kehar Singh Limbu.

The audio production, mixing and mastering were handled by Rikesh Gurung. Choreographed by Shishir Khati, the video portrays lead actors Abhishek Khadka and Aakriti Rajbhandari in a nostalgic setting, beautifully capturing youthful romance.

Speaking at the event, director Dinesh Raut recalled his successful romantic films ‘I’m Sorry’, ‘November Rain’ and ‘Classic’, and said that after socially driven films like ‘Prasad’, ‘Pujar Sarki’ and ‘Prakash’, he has returned to his favorite genre—romance. He emphasized that ‘Doko Bunne’ reflects the film’s authenticity and Nepali essence.

Writer Bikash Subedi expressed confidence that the song conveys the emotional core of the film and draws audiences into its love story.

Lead actors Abhishek Khadka and Aakriti Rajbhandari shared their excitement about making their debut through this film.

Rajbhandari said the strong team and script motivated her to choose this project, while Khadka noted his long-standing aspiration to work in films. Executive producer Kedar Bhusal stated that the film’s release around Valentine’s Day aims to appeal to audiences of all age groups.

The film also features Ghanashyam Joshi, Sunita Shrestha, Akanksha Karki, Madhu Khadka, Sanam Shrestha, Saku Shah, Saroj Lamichhane and Manasha Sharma.

Produced by Mahendra Adhikari under the collaboration of Binish Entertainment and Picture Frame, the film is executive produced by Kedar Bhusal. Written by Bikash Subedi, it is cinematographed by Susan Prajapati, edited and color-graded by Suprim Parajuli, with sound design by Uttam Nyaupane.

Digital distribution is handled by Motion Pictures, with DCN distributing in the Kathmandu Valley and Kuver Cine Distribution outside the Valley. Publicity materials are designed by Trident Concept.
