Kathmandu — Gobar Ganesh, directed by and starring Marichman Shrestha, popularly known as Balchhi Dhurbe, has emerged as one of the most talked-about Nepali films at the moment. As the trailer continues to gain momentum on YouTube, the production team has intensified its promotional activities.
Balchhi Dhurbe has been meeting veteran figures of the Nepali film industry to share details about the film and seek their blessings. He has met superstar Rajesh Hamal, senior actor Madan Krishna Shrestha, Nir Shah, popular actor Dipak Raj Giri, and director Deepa Shree Niraula, among others.
During these meetings, the senior artists praised Balchhi Dhurbe’s hard work, sincerity, and perseverance. They described his journey from television to becoming a leading actor and director in cinema as inspirational.
The veterans extended their best wishes for the success of Gobar Ganesh, stating that Balchhi’s courage and dedication would guide the new generation of artists. The encouragement has further boosted the morale of the film’s team.
Released a week ago, the trailer of Gobar Ganesh has crossed 3 million views on YouTube and is currently trending at number one. Blending social themes with humor and emotion, the film has generated strong curiosity among audiences.
Presented by Balchhi Dhurbe Films, Gobar Ganesh is set for nationwide theatrical release on January 15, coinciding with Maghe Sankranti.
The film features Barsha Siwakoti, Binod Neupane, Padam Tamang, Nirmal Sharma, Laxminath Timilsena, Santosh Baniya, Sandip Lama, Mao Tse Gurung, Sita Devi Timilsina, Pujan Ghimire (Puku), Buddhi Tamang, Bishal Pahadi, Ramesh Budhathoki, and Swastika Lamichhane, alongside Balchhi Dhurbe.
