Kathmandu – Superstar actress Rekha Thapa has officially joined the cast of the upcoming modern love story film ‘French Kiss’. The production team confirmed her signing while the film is currently under production.
The movie has been filming in various locations in Chitwan over the past few days. Executive producer Saugat Basnet expressed confidence that Rekha’s inclusion will make the film stronger, more appealing, and highly anticipated.
“Rekha Thapa has remained a prominent and active figure in Nepali cinema for years. With her powerful performances and strong screen presence, we believe the film will gain further strength. Through ‘French Kiss,’ she will present herself differently in a new-generation love story,” Basnet said.
The team expects Rekha’s experience and star power to generate national and international buzz.
Produced under the banner of ATF Production Pvt. Ltd., the film is directed by actor Arpan Thapa. The movie also stars Arpan Thapa himself, ‘Shambala’ famed actress Thinley Lhamo, and veteran actress Gauri Malla in lead roles.
Saugat Basnet serves as executive producer, while Subash B. Shahi is the co-producer. The cinematography is handled by Sudip Baral, with music composed by renowned singer and composer Deepak Bajracharya.
Publicity design is managed by Royal Bhimsen (Trident Concept). The film is slated for release within 2026.
