Kathmandu – Bardiya resident Dipsu Pariyar has won a prize of NPR 51,000 for singing a cover of the title song ‘Laija Khabar E Hawa’ from the film ‘Aa Bataa Aama’. The award was presented by the film’s director Chandra Pant, actors Pal Shah, Usha Upreti, and Simran Pant.
Director Chandra Pant said, “We have awarded Dipsu Pariyar from Basgadhi, Bardiya, NPR 51,000 in cash as promised by our team.”
A month ago, the ‘Aa Bataa Aama’ production team had announced a cover singing and acting contest based on the song. Participants were required to upload their videos on TikTok by Magh 12, following which Dipsu secured the prize.
Produced under Arya Entertainment, the film’s song is currently trending on social media. Written and directed by Chandra Pant, the film features lead roles by Bipana Thapa, Pal Shah, Pradeep Rawat, Usha Upreti, Simran Pant, Saigres Pokhrel, Gajit Bisht, Begum Nepali, among others. The film, released in theaters from Magh 16, has already become a superhit.
Music for the film has been provided by Koshish Kshetri, Babul Giri, and Thaneshwar Gautam, while choreography for the song is by Gambhir Bisht and Dilip Okheda. The DOP is Navaraj Upreti, and dialogues were written by Abhimanyu Niravi, with collaboration from Amar Nyaupane, Abhimanyu Niravi, and Chandra Pant. Investors include Krishna Prasad Subedi, Omkar Pant, Prakashjung Kunwar, Dhruv Prasad Nyaupane, and Kshitij Dhungana, with Karan Singh Rasali as the executive producer. Distribution is by RR Films, and digital rights are held by OSR.
