Kathmandu — The first song titled ‘Timilai Maya Garchu’ from the Nepali film Laalimaa, slated for release on February 29 (Falgun 29), has been officially unveiled. The song was released on Sunday through the OSR YouTube Channel.
The music video features actress Roshni Karki and actor Jeevan Bhattarai, portraying a complex relationship marked by romance and conflict. Karki’s character is shown navigating a sensitive narrative involving sex work and mental instability.
Scenes featuring other cast members — Usha Rajak, Shishir Wangdel, and Sushma Niraula — are also included, offering glimpses into the film’s storyline.
The song is sung by Preeti Kaur, with lyrics by Roshan Mirage, KM Joshi, and Kaur herself. Joshi has also composed, arranged, mixed, and mastered the track.
Written and directed by Roshan Mirage, Lalima stars Shishir Wangdel, Jeevan Bhattarai, Usha Rajak, and Sushma Niraula. Presented by Faith Aastha, the film is executive produced by Reena Lama.
Notably, Lalima stands as the only film scheduled for theatrical release on Falgun 29, making it the first release following Nepal’s parliamentary elections.
