‘Chameli Ko Poi’ Release Postponed, Here’s The Reason Why ?

Kathmandu, : The release of the Nepali film Chameli Ko Poi has been postponed from its previously announced date. Directed by Everest Surya Bohara, the film was scheduled to hit theaters on Chaitra 13 (Ram Navami). However, according to a press statement issued on Thursday, the decision was taken considering the country’s current political situation and the election environment.

Produced under the banner of Dhan Laxmi Cine Makers, the film’s new release date will be announced soon. Producer Ramnarayan Upadhyaya expressed gratitude through a video message, appreciating director Bohara and the team for completing the project on schedule.

The film, which recently gained attention after the release of its first-look poster, will now wait for a peaceful environment before reaching audiences.

The story is written by director Bohara himself, with screenplay by Shivam Adhikari and cinematography by Sher Bahadur Tamang. The producers are Sunita Sapkota and Ramnarayan Upadhyaya. Executive producers include Uday Bikram Rana, Ritu Malla Thakuri, and Kapil Acharya, while co-producers are Pradeep Kumar Sapkota, Yam Prasad Oli, and Sudip Kunwar.

The film features performances by Narayan Tripathi, Surakshya Panta, Mukun Bhusal, Wilson Bikram Rai, Rabindra Jha and others. The film will be distributed by RR Films.
