‘Karki Saila’ Begins Shooting from Dhankuta

Kathmandu. The shooting of the upcoming Nepali film Karki Saila, directed by Rajendra Basnet, has officially begun. The production team started filming from Dhankuta on Tuesday.

Actors Jitu Nepal and Priyana Acharya (Munni) are leading the cast, alongside Sushil Pokharel, Birendra Singh Kushwaha, Mansi Sharma, Manil Tamang, Renuka Acharya, Dipsan Limbu, Roda Rai, Kamal Devkota, and others.

Director Basnet said the film is being shot on a one-month schedule, with locations spanning Dhankuta, Baraha Chhetra, and Chatara.

According to the producers, Priyana Acharya will be paired opposite Jitu Nepal in the film. Priyana was previously seen in the film Jharipachhiko Indreni and rose to popularity through the television series Sakkigoni. ‘Karki Saila’ marks her first on-screen collaboration with Jitu Nepal.

The film is being produced under the banner of Karnabahadur Films Pvt. Ltd., with Balkumar Rai as producer and Krishna Bhagat Chamling as presenter. Rozal Thapa serves as the chief assistant director, while cinematography is handled by Dambar Rai. Action direction is by Kiran Dahal, music by Dipsan Limbu, and production management by C.B. Bhandari.

The release date will be announced after the completion of shooting, the production team said.
