Kathmandu — The first-look poster of the upcoming Nepali film Paralko Aago, set for release on April 24 (Baisakh 11), has been unveiled, hinting at a layered narrative of psychological tension and social conflict.
The poster features lead actors Suhana Thapa, Saugat Malla, and Prakash Saput in serious, emotionally charged expressions.
While Suhana appears as a married woman with sindoor and tika, her face reflects inner turmoil. Prakash Saput, wrapped in a shawl, and Saugat Malla both appear visibly distressed, suggesting a complex emotional triangle.
Symbolic sparks of fire and a dark backdrop indicate a storyline where minor triggers may lead to major consequences — much like a “straw fire.”
Directed by Laxman Sunar and produced under the banner of Hari Om Cine Makers Pvt. Ltd., the film explores rural life, family relationships, and hidden psychological struggles within society.
Based on a story from the classic collection Naso by Guruprasad Mainali, the tale was previously adapted into a film about 45 years ago by director Pratap Subba. The new adaptation aims to reintroduce the timeless narrative to contemporary audiences.
