Kathmandu – The first song “Dhagole Bateko” from the upcoming Nepali film “Ram Naam Satya,” set to release on April 9 (Chaitra 27), has gained significant popularity online.
Within about two weeks of its release, the song has surpassed 2.1 million views on YouTube and sparked widespread engagement on social media. According to the filmmakers, more than 100,000 TikTok videos have been created using the track.
Director Michael Chand said the song’s success came despite concerns about its release timing during the election period, when public attention was largely focused on voting and results.
“Many people said it wasn’t the right time to release the song,” Chand said. “But we were confident it would connect with audiences. Now the song is everywhere and thousands of TikTok videos have been made.”
The song features vocals by Babul Giri and Rachana Rimal, with lyrics by Dr. DR Upadhyay and music composed by Babul Giri.
The romantic music video features the film’s lead actors Biraj Bhatta and Supushpa Bhatta.
Produced under the banner Michael Entertainment House, the film is financed by Upendra Shahi and Sweta Bimli, with Kishor Bhatta, Rajendra Bhatta, and Arjun Sunar serving as executive producers.
The film features music by Babul Giri, Arjun Pokharel, SD Yogi, and Nava Ansari. Written and directed by Michael Chand, the movie’s cinematography is handled by Man Krishna Maharjan, with action direction by Shree Shrestha and editing by Bande Prasad.
The film stars Biraj Bhatta, Supushpa Bhatta, Sushil Shrestha, Divya Rayamajhi, Ayush Singh Thakuri, Prashant Tamrakar, and Sunil Thapa.
“Ram Naam Satya” blends action, suspense and romance, and is built around the theme of “the story behind the screen.”
