The stage adaptation of ‘Seto Dharti’, produced by Kantipur Film Academy, will begin its run from March 27.

Based on the acclaimed Madan Puraskar-winning novel by Aamar Neupane, the production is generating significant attention in Nepal’s theatre scene.

The play is produced by actress and producer Rekha Thapa, while actress Benisha Hamal will make her stage debut in the lead role.

Directed by Sundar Dhital, the production has already sparked interest following its official poster release.

According to Kantipur Theatre, rehearsals are currently underway with more than 30 artists from film, theatre, and the academy involved.

The institution has previously adapted novels such as ‘Meera’ and ‘Shirishko Phool’ into stage productions.

CEO Prakash Puri stated that the academy aims to bridge literature, cinema, and theatre through such adaptations.

‘Seto Dharti’ will run from March 27 to April 19, with daily evening shows except Wednesdays, and additional matinee performances on weekends and New Year’s Day.
