Kathmandu — The first song of the Nepali film Kumbha, written and directed by Randhir Shrestha, has been released. The film is scheduled for release on Jestha 15, and the launch of its romantic track has intensified promotional activities.
The song was released at a special event in Kathmandu, featuring debutant actor Ashok Aryan and debut actress Srishti Khadka in a romantic setting.
The song is sung by Anju Panta and Anup Tiwari, with lyrics written by director Randhir Shrestha himself and music composed by Anup Tiwari.
At the event, Janakdeep Parajuli, President of the Film Directors’ Society, attended as a special guest. He praised the scenic shooting locations and expressed confidence that the film would be well received, noting the director’s strong technical background.
Director Randhir Shrestha stated that the film has been technically well-crafted and introduces new experimentation in action sequences. He also mentioned the involvement of stunt artists who have worked in the South Indian film Kantara.
Debut actor Ashok Aryan said he worked with full dedication despite it being his first film.
With a long background in music video direction and cinematography, Shrestha presents Kumbha as an action-romance film.
Produced under ARS Production, the film will be released in both Nepali and Hindi languages.
The film also features South Indian actor Surendra Thakur, along with Ashok Aryan, veteran actor Sunil Thapa, Sushil Pokharel, Rohit Rumba, Afsana Thapa, and Srishti Khadka in lead roles.
Cinematography and editing have also been handled by director Randhir Shrestha himself. Action direction is by Sanjay Thapa.
The film is produced by Randhir Shrestha and Rajesh Sah, with Eshwar Ballav Upreti serving as executive producer.
