The film ‘Paral Ko Aago’, released on Baishakh 11, has registered a strong opening at the box office. According to the production team, the film earned over NPR 3.7 million in gross collection on its first day.
Producer Sushil Pokharel, speaking at Bizz Movies with journalists, shared that the opening-day collection reached close to NPR 3.8 million. He also noted that audience turnout increased on the second day, expecting further growth in collections.
“This is a very positive performance. We believe audiences will enjoy the film and return to watch it again,” he said.
Meanwhile, distributor Rohit Kattel of RR Films claimed through a Facebook post that the film has crossed approximately NPR 10 million in gross collection within two days. He also shared a poster showing the box office figures.
Due to a public holiday on the second day, the film is expected to perform strongly similar to a weekend.
The production team appears highly optimistic. Director Laxman Sunar said he made sincere efforts according to the story, while distributor Kattel highlighted strong audience enthusiasm.
Based on the classic story ‘Paral Ko Aago’ by Guru Prasad Mainali, the film features Suhana Thapa, Saugat Malla, Prakash Saput, Srijana Adhikari, Shankar Acharya, Kishor Bhattarai, Jack Shrestha, Sarita Bhattarai, Renu Nyaupane, and child artist Manjila Baniya. The performance of child artist Manjila has been especially appreciated by audiences.
Produced under Hari Om Cine Makers Pvt. Ltd., the film is produced by Sushil Pokharel, who has been actively visiting theaters and interacting with audiences. Scriptwriter Sushil Devkota also attended screenings and expressed happiness over the positive audience response.
The film is directed by Laxman Sunar. Cinematography is by Sankalp Bhujel, choreography by Ramji Lamichhane, editing by Milan Shrestha, and color grading by Kanal Kwar.
VFX is handled by Samir Mia and Satyam Rana, trailer editing by Sahil Khan, mixing by Mukesh Shah, and production coordination by Nagendra Ghimire.
Music is composed by Kiran Tuladhar, Shanti Thatal, Satya–Swaroop Aacharya, and Prakash Saput, with lyrics by Man Bahadur Mukhiya, Surendra Rana, and Prakash Saput.
Art direction is by Pratik Chaudhary, with Karna Bahadur Saud as chief assistant director. The film is distributed nationwide by RR Films, with digital rights held by OSR.
The film is based on the story ‘Paral Ko Aago’ from Guru Prasad Mainali’s Naso collection, which was previously adapted into a film directed by Pratap Subba.
