Rap Version of ‘Rail Ghumyo Ghumti Ma’ Released Ahead of ‘Ek Muthi Badal’ Nationwide Premiere

Kathmandu — The makers of the Nepali film Ek Muthi Badal have released a lyrical rap version of its popular song Rail Ghumyo Ghumti Ma ahead of the film’s nationwide release on May 1.

The production team said earlier released teaser, songs and trailer had already received a positive response from audiences. As the original track based on folk rhythm gained popularity, the team expects the rap version to resonate equally well.

The song features music composed by Sumit Pathak, with vocals by Meena Pokharel, Indrakala Rai and Syami D Real G. Lyrics are written by Harka Saud. Pathak, the runner-up of Nepal Idol Season 2, is making his debut in film music.

Written and directed by Sahara Sharma, the film stars Aanchal Sharma, Nisha Sharma, Usha Rajak, Bhima Mainali, Asmita Gautam, Shekhar Chapagain, Manish Niroula, Sahayog Adhikari, Gaurav Bist and Aviral Pratap Adhikari among others.

The film is produced by Abhimanyu Dixit with Nikun Shrestha serving as executive producer. The production team also includes German producer Sara Fazilat along with Samipya Raj Timsina and Anup Paudel.

Cinematography is handled by Linh Dan Nguyen Phan, production design by Yashaswi Sawarwal, editing by Gaurav Mallik, art direction by Agrani Thakuri Jha, costume design by Janaki Kadayat and makeup by Kirti Joshi.

Marna James serves as the chief assistant director, supported by Sharmila Ale and Mira Khadka.

The film, which features strong female leadership across departments, is jointly produced by Gaunthali Entertainment and Man Production. It will be distributed in Nepal by RR Films.
