Kathmandu — The makers of the upcoming Nepali film Kaji have released the film’s first song titled Wari Bar Pari Pipalu during a special event held in Kathmandu.
The song features lyrics and music composed by renowned musician Kali Prasad Baskota. Vocals are provided by Ganga Sonam and Karan Pariyar, both winners of Nepal Idol.
The music video portrays a romantic story between husband and wife, featuring actors Bipin Karki and Keki Adhikari in the roles of farmers. Scenes of daily rural life, morning worship rituals and farming activities are highlighted throughout the video.
Presented by Rijal and Rijal Production, the film is directed by Laxman Rijal. Alongside Karki and Adhikari, the film also stars Garima Sharma, Hemant Budhathoki, Prakash Ghimire, Bishal Pahari, Hiuwala Gautam, Anurag Kunwar, Sandip Babu Lohani and others.
According to the production team, the film is based on an emotional and social narrative exploring human relationships, love, pain and responsibility.
Kaji is scheduled for nationwide release on May 22. The story is written by Pradip Bhardwaj, while cinematography is handled by Rajbhandari.
The film also features production design by Ojashwi Ojha, color coordination by Shyam Kunwar, background score by Sujil Karmacharya and choreography by Kabiraj Gahatraj.
Executive producer of the film is Asim Kafle, while producers include Ram Prasad Rijal, Nehan Rijal and Bikash Raj Joshi.
