Kathmandu. The release date of the film Jhingedau 2, directed by Gyanendra Deuja, has been officially announced. The film will be released nationwide on Asoj 3, coinciding with Nepal’s Constitution Day.
The film was earlier scheduled for release during the Dashain festival (Phulpati day). However, due to increasing competition among filmmakers for the same release window, the team opted for a safer release date, according to the director.
A newly released poster features Keki Adhikari, Aanchal Sharma, Mahesh Tripathi, and Kushal Bista in character looks, aiming to build anticipation among audiences.
Produced jointly by Kapangadhi Cinema Pvt. Ltd. and Film Kriyu Nepal, the film features an ensemble cast including Saroj Khanal, Aryan Sigdel, Basundhara Bhusal, Chaitya Devi Singh, Hiuwala Gautam, Vijay Deuja, Asha Bhusal, Abhay Raj Baral, and Ashish Purush, among others.
The story is written by director Deuja himself, while the screenplay is by Parichhed Sen, Govind Phuyal, and Shishir Chalise. Action direction is by Roshan Shrestha, choreography by Ramji Lamichhane, and music by Arjun Pokharel.
Editing is handled by Mitra D. Gurung, with Ishwar Ghimire as production manager and Pasang T. Sherpa and Manik Pakhrin as art directors.
The film is produced by Sulabh Pratik Deuja and Samiksha Deuja. Post-production dubbing is currently underway.
Shooting took place across multiple locations including Kavre, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Sankhu, Tanahun, Bandipur, Devghat, Dolakha, Chitlang, Palung, and Chitwan.
