Aanchal Sharma Appears as a Bride at ‘Ek Muththi Badal’ Premiere

Kathmandu — The premiere of the upcoming Nepali film Ek Muththi Badal was held in Kathmandu on Wednesday ahead of its nationwide release this Friday.
Actress Aanchal Sharma became the center of attention after arriving at the premiere in a striking bridal-inspired look. Accompanied by a women-led traditional Naumati Baja performance, she appeared in a red gown with a long veil designed by Manis Rai.
Directed by Sahara Sharma, the film also highlighted women’s presence and perspectives during the premiere event. In the movie, Aanchal plays the character ‘Maili,’ whose wedding preparations unfold alongside emotional and social complexities.
The film explores themes related to marriage, women’s personal struggles, and the realities of middle-class Nepali families. Audiences at the premiere praised the film’s emotional storytelling, performances, and realistic presentation.
Director Sahara Sharma said the film focuses on women’s emotions and experiences that are rarely explored in mainstream Nepali cinema.
Producers Abhimanyu Dixit, Samipya Raj Timalsena, Nikun Shrestha, and Anup Poudel welcomed guests at the event. A media interaction session with the cast and production team was also organized after the screening.
According to the production team, Ek Muththi Badal will officially release in theaters nationwide this Friday.
