‘Roll No. 1’ Launches Exciting Contest, Offers Cash Prizes for Sharing School-Life Stories

Upcoming Nepali film ‘Roll No. 1’, set for release on Jestha 15, has introduced a new audience-engagement campaign offering participants a chance to win cash prizes by sharing memorable school-life stories.

Under the campaign titled “Get Chance to Win Cash Prize,” the production team has launched a video competition called ‘Me, My Friends, Teachers and My School Story’.

To participate, contestants must create a short video narrating real-life school experiences connected to friendship, teachers, struggles, dreams, education, or unforgettable moments from school life.

Participants are required to mention their name, school name, and address in the video. According to the organizers, stories can include topics such as inspirational teachers, friendship, the importance of education, poverty and challenges, school memories, ambitions, and personal struggles.

The video must be between one to three minutes long and should be emotional, creative, and clearly presented. People of all age groups are eligible to participate.

Videos can be uploaded on TikTok, Facebook, or Instagram by tagging the film’s official social media pages and using the mandatory hashtags specified by the production team.

The competition offers attractive cash rewards. The first-place winner will receive NPR 30,000, the second-place winner NPR 15,000, and the third-place winner NPR 10,000. Additionally, 20 participants will receive complimentary tickets to watch ‘Roll No. 1’. Winners will be announced on Jestha 25.

Produced by Binod Paudel, ‘Roll No. 1’ explores the psychology of students and the impact of the current education system on children’s mental and emotional development.

Directed by John Yonjan, the film stars Mukun Bhusal, Sushank Mainali, Renu Yogi, and Sirjana Adhikari in lead roles. Child actors include Nirbhik Regmi, Rinchen Lama, Sanyam Katuwal, and Sijal Shrestha.

The screenplay is written by Mahesh Dawadi, while cinematography is handled by Shivaram Shrestha. The film features music by Prashant Siwakoti and background score by Rohit Shakya. Editing is done by Madan Ghimire.

According to producer Binod Paudel, ‘Roll No. 1’ will release simultaneously in Nepal and overseas markets. The film is being distributed by Rich Entertainment and JM Cinema.
