Renowned Nepali actress Keki Adhikari is set to appear before audiences with her upcoming film ‘Kaji’, a story deeply rooted in love, sacrifice, emotions, and human relationships. The actress says she is highly excited about the project, which revolves around the emotional journey of Kaji and Kajini.

Speaking at a recent event in Kathmandu, Keki described ‘Kaaji’ as more than just a romantic film. According to her, the movie explores trust, devotion, and the emotional depth of relationships.

“In real life, we often feel like we are the only ones giving more in a relationship. Human psychology works that way. But the world of ‘Kaji’ offers a completely different emotional depth,” she said.

Keki explained that Kajini, the character she portrays, feels that she could never repay the amount of love Kaaji gives her — even across seven lifetimes.

While discussing the film’s emotional layers, she also referenced the story of Ram and Sita from the Ramayana.
“Sita made great sacrifices for Ram — she went into exile and endured trials. But in the world of ‘Kaji’, Kajini sees Kaji at an even higher emotional level,” Keki shared.

According to her, the film presents a world where love, sacrifice, and devotion become the foundation that holds life together.

She further revealed that Kajini believes meeting someone like Kaji is not merely a coincidence but the result of good deeds accumulated over previous lifetimes.
“The film carries the feeling that Kajini’s good karma from six lifetimes led her to find Kaji in the seventh,” she explained.

Keki added that for Kajini, relationships matter more than anything else in the world. She is willing to do anything to preserve the love and trust Kaaji has for her.

“The greatest strength Kajini has is Kaji’s love and trust toward her. The film shows how deeply that can enrich and empower a person emotionally,” she said.

The actress noted that the story emotionally connected with her from the very beginning, adding that Kajini is not a simple character but someone carrying pain, love, and responsibility within her.

Keki also described her collaboration with actor Bipin Karki as smooth and memorable. She believes their emotional chemistry and the family-oriented storyline will resonate strongly with audiences.

Active in the Nepali film industry for nearly one and a half decades, Keki has consistently chosen strong and unconventional roles. Following the success of women-centric films like ‘Boksi Ko Ghar’, she continues to prioritize meaningful stories connected to society and human emotions.

Directed by Laxman Rijal, ‘Kaaji’ is scheduled for nationwide release from Jestha 8. According to the production team, the film portrays rural life, emotional relationships, and the sensitive dimensions of love on screen.
