Kathmandu, May 21: The Hidden Treasure has opened applications for ‘Miss Nepal 2026’. The announcement was made during a press conference held on Wednesday at The Plaza in Pulchowk, where details of the upcoming edition were shared.
The organizers have invited interested Nepali women residing both in Nepal and abroad to participate in the competition. The deadline for application submission is June 8.
The grand finale will be held on August 1 at The Plaza in Pulchowk and will be broadcast live on Himalaya Television.
This year, winners will be selected under three main titles: Miss Nepal World, Miss Nepal Cosmo, and Miss Nepal International. Participants must be between 18 and 27 years of age with a minimum height requirement of 5 feet 3 inches.
Nepali citizens living abroad can also apply using the Non-Resident Nepali (NRN) card issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The application process is free of charge.
According to the organizers, auditions will be conducted in Biratnagar, Itahari, Butwal, Pokhara, Nepalgunj, and Janakpur, along with an activation campaign across 10 colleges in Kathmandu.
The final audition will take place in Kathmandu on June 9. Selected contestants will receive training and grooming sessions ahead of the grand finale.
The Hidden Treasure has also introduced changes to the competition format. According to director The Hidden Treasure, the question-and-answer round from the Top 30 stage has been removed, and only the Top 5 finalists will now face questions.
Representatives from Miss Cosmo, including its CEO, along with current titleholders, will attend the finale in Kathmandu.
The organization also highlighted the achievements of Nepali representatives in international pageants. Current Miss Nepal World Luna Luitel will represent Nepal at Miss World 2026. Miss Nepal International 2025 Urusha Bhandari participated in Miss International held in Tokyo.
Miss Nepal Earth 2025 Soni Ghale won the talent round at Miss Earth in the Philippines, while Miss Nepal Cosmo 2025 Dipshikha Nepal represented Nepal at Miss Cosmo in Vietnam.
This year’s competition is sponsored by Kajaria Ramesh Tiles Limited as the title sponsor, with Shri Nataraj Jewellers as co-sponsor and crown partner.
The theme for Miss Nepal 2026 is “Top of the World.”
