Kathmandu – The beauty pageant Miss Mithilanari Nepal 2026 is set to be organized with the objective of promoting Mithila culture, traditions, and women’s empowerment. The announcement was made by Third Eye Studios Pvt. Ltd. during a press meet held on Tuesday.
The pageant will be held under the slogan “The Beauty of Mithila” and aims to highlight Mithila culture, language, identity, and the role of women in society.
Speaking at the event, Harish Jaiswal, head of the organizing institution, shared details about the competition’s objectives, key features, audition process, and upcoming activities. According to him, Miss Mithilanari Nepal is more than just a beauty contest; it is a platform designed to empower women, encourage self-reliance, and showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Mithila region.
“This type of pageant focused on Mithila identity has not been organized before. We believe it will provide a valuable opportunity for Mithila women to demonstrate their talent, strengthen their identity, and access new opportunities,” Jaiswal said.
The organizers informed that application forms for the competition are now open. Interested participants can register through the eSewa application. Auditions will be held in Janakpur on Jestha 16, followed by auditions in Kathmandu.
Applicants who are unable to submit forms digitally will also have the option to register directly at the audition venue on the day of the event.
According to the organizers, participation is open not only to women from the Mithila community but also to women from across Nepal. Individuals with a basic understanding of the Mithila language and culture are encouraged to apply.
The organizers expressed confidence that the pageant will contribute to the preservation and promotion of Mithila culture while creating meaningful opportunities for women’s empowerment at the national level.
