Kathmandu – Filming for the upcoming Nepali film “Aa Bata Aama 2” has officially begun, with the production team launching its first shooting schedule in Chitlang, Makwanpur, on Monday morning. The shoot commenced shortly after actress Malika Mahat was signed on as the film’s lead actress.
Director Chandra Pant said the film will be shot across Chitlang, Kathmandu and London, United Kingdom. Following the completion of the Chitlang and Kathmandu schedules, the production team will travel to London to film the remaining sequences.
The movie has entered production with a one-month shooting schedule. Alongside Pal Shah and Malika Mahat, the cast includes Rishta Gurung, Nikita Acharya, Bipana Thapa, Aakash Shrestha, Sabin Shrestha, Pradeep Rawat, Saigres Pokharel, Gajit Bista and Naren Khadka in key roles.
The story and screenplay have been written by director Chandra Pant himself. The film serves as a sequel to the 2024 release “A Bata Aama” and is said to continue its emotional and family-oriented narrative.
Produced under the banner of Arya Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., the film’s production manager is Karan Singh Rasali. Distribution rights for Nepal have been acquired by RR Films, while OSR Digital holds the digital rights.
The makers are targeting a nationwide release on October 16 (Asoj 30), coinciding with the Dashain festive season.
