Actor Mukun Bhusal has signed on to play the lead role in the upcoming Nepali film Kangal Karodpati, which will be directed by Raju Shrestha and presented by Prabin Acharya.
Speaking about his decision to join the project, Bhusal said the screenplay and the character offered to him were the key reasons behind his acceptance.
“Among the many scripts I have been receiving, the storytelling style of this film and the role proposed to me stood out and immediately caught my interest,” he said.
Bhusal is currently appearing in Roll Number 1, which is now screening in cinemas across Nepal.
The film is being produced under the banner of Cinema Pathshala Pvt. Ltd., with Anil Kumar Budhathoki serving as producer. Chhiring Tamang is the co-producer, while Rita Shrestha Tamang and Suraj Kumar are associated with the project as line producers.
The screenplay has been written by Suman Gajmer. The production team is currently finalizing the cast and has stated that the complete list of cast and technical crew will be announced in the coming weeks.
According to director Raju Shrestha, workshops will begin immediately after the casting process is completed, followed by the start of principal photography.
