Kathmandu – Tarang, the directorial debut of theatre artist Pradeep Kumar Chaudhary (PK Don), is set to release in theaters on December 4 (Mangsir 18). The production team announced the release date on Friday alongside the film’s official poster.
Active in writing, directing, and acting in theatre for more than two decades, Chaudhary makes his feature film directorial debut with Tarang.
Produced under the banner of Devdatta Creation, the film will be distributed by Sunil Manandhar for Shreeram Balaji Films.
The newly released poster features lead actors Varun Adhikari, Ravina KC, Barat Limbu, and Krishna Thapa. The cast also includes Sara Rai, Ujjwal Bantawa Rai, Uday Subba, Kundan Tharu, Uttam Gurung, Johan Sanjog, Bishal Senehang, and child actor Pranshu Chaudhary.
The film is produced by Tarkaraj Joshi and Jitendra Kumar Chaudhary, with Harinarayan Chaudhary serving as executive producer.
The cinematography is by Mahesh Poudel, editing by Sandesh Shah, and action choreography by Samrat Basnet. The soundtrack features music by Manoj Thapa Magar, Pawan Giri, and Manoj Mahato, while the songs are performed by Sugam Pokharel, Melina Rai, Pawan Giri, Manoj Mahato, and Manoj Thapa Magar. The background score is composed by Manish Niraula.
Filmed across Morang, Sunsari, Palpa, Rupandehi, Chitwan, and Kaski, Tarang has been described by director Chaudhary as a supernatural love story. According to him, the film presents a unique romantic narrative that differs from the conventional love stories commonly seen in society.
The project is a collaboration between Devdatta Creation and AB Filmy.
