Kathmandu – The release date of the upcoming Nepali action-drama Hunter, written and directed by Jeevan Singh, has been officially announced. The production team unveiled an intense face-off poster, confirming that the film will be released in cinemas across Nepal on September 25 (Asoj 9).
The film marks Jeevan Singh’s directorial debut.
The newly released poster offers intriguing hints about the storyline. Designed by Trident Concept, it features lead actors Arun Chhetri and Prakash Shah facing each other, suggesting a fierce rivalry.
The anger in Prakash Shah’s eyes and the determination for revenge on Arun Chhetri’s face indicate a high-stakes conflict. The poster suggests that this is more than an ordinary confrontation—it is a deadly battle between the “hunter” and the “prey.”
In contrast, the lower section of the poster presents a softer tone, showing Arun Chhetri and Supragya Sharma in a romantic moment. This hints that alongside its intense action, Hunter also weaves a heartfelt love story, which may ultimately become the driving force behind the central conflict.
According to writer-director Jeevan Singh, the story of Hunter is inspired by real people and real-life situations rather than a fictional world.
The film is produced in collaboration with Trident Concept. Mamata Singh, Govinda Raj, and Raj A. Bhatt serve as producers, while Manish Chand, Yuna Shahi, and Santosh Asna Pal are co-producers. Royal Bhimsen (Bhimsen Shahi) is the executive producer.
The cast includes Arun Chhetri, Prakash Shah, Supragya Sharma, Garima Sharma, Saroj Khanal, Ramesh Budhathoki, Ruja Raut, Roshani Dahal, Gita Adhikari, Suraj Bhandari, Tekraj Sharmal, and Lal Bahadur Thapa.
The film is edited by Jeevan Singh himself, with cinematography by Krishna Thapa, action direction by Shukraraj Shah, choreography by Bikram Swar and Sanjay Khimjim, and music composed by Babul Giri, Chakra Bam, and Mahesh Tamrakar.
Scheduled for release ahead of Nepal’s Dashain festival, Hunter aims to attract mass audiences with its blend of action, romance, emotion, and drama.
The film will be distributed nationwide by RR Films, led by Rohit Kattel and Ratna Shrestha.
