Kathmandu: The makers of the upcoming Nepali film Parbati have announced a TikTok competition featuring cash prizes for fans who create videos using the film’s popular song ‘Nautuna Relaima’. The film, presented by Nita Films, is scheduled for nationwide release on Bhadra 12.
According to the production team, participants must create a creative TikTok video featuring the song and upload it to their TikTok accounts. The competition offers cash prizes of Rs 50,000 for first place, Rs 30,000 for second, and Rs 20,000 for third. In addition, five participants will receive complimentary tickets to watch the film.
To qualify, participants must include the hashtags #Parbati, #Bhadra12, and #NautunaRelaima in the caption of their TikTok post. Winners will be selected based on creativity and the number of views their videos receive.
The recently released music video features the film’s lead cast, including Nita Dhungana, Deepashree Niraula, Anjali Adhikari, Siru Bista, Basundhara Bhusal, Asha Poudel, Ashok Darji, and Crimson Shrestha. Inspired by the traditional Ratyauli celebration performed during Nepali weddings, the video presents a lively cultural theme. Deepashree appears dressed in male attire, while Nita is seen in traditional women’s costume, creating an entertaining on-screen dynamic.
Written and directed by Nita Dhungana, the film also stars Deepashree Niraula, Ashok Darji, Siru Bista, Radhika Kandel, Raj Pangeni Sharma, Rajendra Nepali, and Asha Poudel in key roles.
While the story and screenplay are by Nita Dhungana, the script has been written by Shivam Adhikari. The film’s cinematography is handled by Sudip Baral, choreography by Ramji Lamichhane, production management and executive production by Shankar Pandey, and production by Harihar Adhikari.
The teaser and trailer are being edited by Sahil Khan, with poster design by Royal Bhimsen. Distribution rights have been acquired by FD Company, Apple Entertainment, and Rich Entertainment, while OSR has secured the film’s digital rights.
Blending Nepali culture with entertainment, Parbati is set for a nationwide theatrical release on Bhadra 12.
