‘Hali’ Team Intensifies Promotional Campaign Ahead of August Release

Kathmandu: The production team of the upcoming Nepali film “Hali,” scheduled for nationwide release on Shrawan 22, has stepped up its promotional campaign ahead of the film’s theatrical debut.

Since launching its publicity drive on Asar 15, the cast and producers have been visiting schools and colleges across Kathmandu to interact directly with students and introduce the film to young audiences.

Actor Pramod Deep, actresses Sujata Thapa and Bidya Karki, music composer Babul Giri, and producers Pooja Gurung and Jasmine Shrestha have been actively participating in the promotional events.

Centered on the struggles and dignity of Nepal’s farming community, “Hali” carries a strong social message that a single committed individual can bring meaningful change. The filmmakers say the ongoing campaign aims to connect the film’s message with a wider audience.

Produced jointly by Japura Films Production and Shubh Chirayu Films, the film is written and directed by Om Pratik, while Pooja Gurung and Jasmine Shrestha serve as producers.

The cast includes Pramod Deep, Sujata Thapa, Saroj Khanal, Aruna Karki, Arjun Gurung, Bidya Karki, Nabin Shrestha, Kanchan Dulal, Kamal Gaule, Bishal Pahadi, along with director Om Pratik in a key role.

A special song in the film features appearances by Deepa Shree Niraula, Kiran KC, Dilip Rayamajhi, Priyanka Karki and Pooja Sharma. The choreography for the song is by Kabiraj Gahatraj, while the remaining songs have been choreographed jointly by Om Pratik and Gahatraj.

The film’s executive producer is Arjun Bhusal, with Namrata Bhandari as co-producer, Laxman Karmacharya as line producer and Jeevan Nath Gautam as chief assistant director. Cinematography is by Rahul Rai, while editing has been handled by Ram Prasad Chaudhary and Bipin Malla.

The soundtrack features music by veteran composers Shambhujit Baskota, Babul Giri and Krishna Bhardwaj. Producer Jasmine Shrestha has also contributed as a lyricist, while singer Shanti Shree Pariyar has lent her voice to one of the songs alongside Babul Giri.

Action choreography is by Kumar Maharjan. The film will be distributed in Nepal by National Cine Group Pvt. Ltd., while OSR Digital holds its digital distribution rights.
