Kathmandu: The official trailer of the upcoming Nepali film ‘Bhagdaud’ has been released ahead of its nationwide theatrical debut on July 11 (Ashar 26).
Premiered through the OSR Digital YouTube channel on Sunday, the two-minute trailer highlights the relentless pace of everyday life while exploring themes of struggle, greed, deception, fraud, and the moral dilemmas that emerge in modern society.
One of the trailer’s key highlights is actor Bishal Pokharel, who appears in the role of a Nepal Police officer. Pokharel says his character has several surprises in store for audiences.
The film also stars Anisha Shrestha, Ghanshyam Joshi, Sara Rai, Shekhar Chapagain, Deshbhakta Khanal, Laxmi Giri, Shankar Maharjan, and Subash Timilsina.
Written and directed by Himal Upreti, the film is presented by Bishwaram Bista. According to the producer, Bhagdaud has received encouraging feedback during the censorship process, boosting the team’s confidence ahead of its release.
Produced under the banner of Supreme Music & Films Pvt. Ltd., the film has Angira Thapa as executive producer, while Bhupendra Kumar Khadka, Sagar Puri, and Suresh Giri serve as co-producers.
The cinematography is by Deepak Bajracharya, editing by Prabin Dhakal, and the soundtrack is composed by Basanta Sapkota and Prakash Nepali.
Bhagdaud is scheduled for a nationwide theatrical release on July 11 (Ashar 26).
