Kathmandu: The makers of the upcoming Nepali film ‘Ba: Ek Yoddha’ have unveiled two new official posters ahead of its theatrical release on September 4 (Bhadra 19), offering contrasting glimpses of a joyful family and the unexpected conflict that threatens to change their lives.
The first poster presents a warm family portrait featuring Divya Dev Pant, Jharana Thapa, Suhana Thapa, Sagar Khanal, and Supragya Sharma. Set in the courtyard of a traditional Nepali home, the smiling faces, freshly plastered house, and a pet dog create the image of a close-knit middle-class family celebrating the festive season.
In contrast, the second poster introduces a darker tone. Jharana Thapa and Suhana Thapa appear anxious and surprised, while Divya Dev Pant and Anil Budhathoki display anger. Meanwhile, Mao Tse Gurung’s mysterious smile hints at a potentially pivotal—or even antagonistic—role in the story.
Together, the posters suggest that the film revolves around a happy family whose lives are disrupted by an unexpected event, leading to emotional struggles and dramatic conflict.
Written and directed by Hari Lamsal, the film explores the sacrifices, hardships, and lifelong responsibilities of a father striving to secure a better future for his children within Nepali society.
The cast includes Jharana Thapa, Suhana Thapa, Divya Dev Pant, Sagar Khanal, Shishir Siwakoti, Supragya Sharma, Shavi Thapa, Anil Budhathoki, and Mao Tse Gurung.
Produced under the banner of Artistic Entertainment, the film is backed by producer Basant Lamsal, who previously produced Karma starring Bipin Karki.
Cinematography is by Shibaram Shrestha, with Taranath Neupane serving as chief assistant director. The film will be distributed by Kuber Cine Distribution.
‘Ba: Ek Yoddha’ is set to release nationwide on September 4 (Bhadra 19), coinciding with the eve of Kushe Aunsi (Father’s Day in Nepal).
