Kathmandu: Actors Mahesh Tripathi and Anjana Baraili are set to reunite on screen in the upcoming Nepali feature film ‘Aasha’, which was officially announced on Thursday along with its theatrical release date of January 15 (Magh 1).
The film was unveiled during a press conference, where the production team confirmed that it will be produced under the banner of Udaan Studio. Sharmila Thapa is producing the project, while Rajeev Gurung has written the screenplay and will direct the film.
Joining the lead pair are Shashank Mainali, Sushil Sitoula, Aashant Sharma, Kabita Regmi, Kepina Singh, and Bishnu Moktan.
Mahesh Tripathi and Anjana Baraili previously starred together in the commercially successful Nepali film ‘Paran’, which went on to become one of the country’s highest-grossing films. Their successful on-screen pairing has already raised expectations for ‘Aasha’.
The announcement event was attended by the cast and crew, with the producers confirming that filming will begin soon. ‘Aasha’ is scheduled for a nationwide theatrical release on January 15 (Magh 1).
