Prakash Saput’s Directorial Debut ‘Basanta’ Completes Filming

Filming of singer and actor Prakash Saput’s directorial debut ‘Basanta’ has been completed.

According to  production team, the entire shooting for the film was wrapped up in 38 days.

The final shot was taken in Kathmandu on Wednesday as part of the completion process.

Set for release on Chaitra 22 to coincide with the traditional Chaitra Dashain festival, ‘Basanta’ is a film that Prakash Saput, along with his team, has put in considerable effort to achieve the desired result.

Saput is confident that the film will meet the expectations and vision he had set from the beginning.

Filming for the movie took place in various locations including Baglung, Kathmandu, and several parts of the Tarai.

The film stars Prakash Saput, Swastima Khadka, Prabhat Pal Thakuri, Khadk Bahadur Pun (Khabpu), Shivanshi Shree, Anup Baral, Kamalmani Nepal, and Prakash Ghimire among others.

‘Basanta’ is a social drama that Saput himself has written the story, screenplay, and music for. The film tells the story of a young man from the underprivileged Vishwakarma community who dreams of becoming a writer and the challenges he faces along the way.

‘Basanta’ is presented by Galbandi Production, with executive producers Mohan Vishwakarma, Anuradh Bhattarai, and Nana Thakali. The cinematography is handled by Susan Prajapati.
