The film ‘Soltini’ is currently in the pre-production phase.
Directed by Arjun Subedi, the movie is scheduled to go on the floor by the end of Poush (Nepali month). The director has prepared a strong lineup of actors for this project.
The film will portray a love story between two individuals from different ethnic backgrounds, featuring actor Prakash Saput and actress Pariksha Limbu in lead roles.
As part of the preparations, a poster capturing the essence of the film was released on Sunday. The poster features Prakash and Pariksha in an emotional pose, symbolizing the themes of love and separation.
In the film, Prakash will play the character of ‘Bhimsingh Pokhrel,’ while Pariksha will portray ‘Dilasa Rai.’
Set in a village in Bhojpur, ‘Soltini’ aims to highlight the issues of caste discrimination and inhuman practices in society while presenting a touching love story between the main characters, according to director Subedi.
In addition to Prakash and Pariksha, the film will feature performances by Wilson Bikram Rai, Sabbu Gurung, Rabindra Jha, Prakash Ghimire, Prem Subba, Kavita Ale, Sundar Dhital, and Sujan Khatri.
Produced under the banner of Planet 3 Films, in collaboration with NepCine and Yolo Entertainment, the film is written by Arjun Subedi and Kumar Bhattarai.
With cinematography by Sushan Prajapati, the film’s music will be composed by Prashant Siwakoti and Hercules Basnet.
Producers Regina Bista and Sansar Chaulagain have announced that the film will be released on Ashoj 3, 2082 (Nepali calendar), coinciding with Constitution Day.
