The music video for the new song ‘Chhod Satauna’ featuring vocals by singer Sarita Bharati and singer Om Sunar was released on Thursday. The video was launched through OSR Digital. This marks the first musical collaboration between Sarita and Om.
This song is based on a Western folk tune, with music and arrangement done by Om Sunar himself. The recording was done by Rajendra Bajgai at Music Kitchen, while Manoj Pariyar handled the mixing and mastering.
The lyrics for the song were penned by Dabbu Kshatri, who incorporated local words like “Chhottiya” and “Chhotty” (boy and girl) that he noted during his visit to the Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. By including these words, the song aims to bring local language to an international platform through its music video. The video was also directed by Dabbu Kshatri.
The video features Sanam Kathayat, Prabhan Bhusal, Pratiksha Kafle, Sajina Lamichhane, and Ranjit Sinjali, along with singer Sarita Bharati herself as models. Other cast members include Nakul Giri, Harikrishna Giri, Surendra Giri, and more.
Krishna Rasal, who has been involved in dance direction for a long time, choreographed the video. The video’s cinematography, editing, and color grading were done by Rajendra Pandey.
This dance-centric folk song has been receiving positive feedback from the audience, as shared by singer Sarita and singer Om.
