The teaser of the film ‘Rajagunj’, directed by Deepak Rauniyar, has been released. The teaser, which was made public on Wednesday, seems to have generated excitement among the audience. Ahead of the release, the looks of the main female characters in the teaser also created anticipation among viewers.
The film features seven female characters in leading roles. The cast includes Dayahang Rai, Asha Magarati, Vijay Baral, Richa Sharma, Gaumaya Gurung, Pashupati Rai, former Miss Nepal Nikita Chandak, Pushpa Yadav, Aarti Mandal, Ghanshyam Mishra, Parmeshwar Kumar Jha, and Neeraj Shrestha among others.
The film has already made an impact at major international film festivals like Venice, Hamburg, Busan, and Mumbai. Just last Kartik month, the film was screened at five film festivals. Notably, at the Venice Film Festival, the film received a 10-minute standing ovation.
The prestigious American newspaper ‘The New York Times’ included Director Rauniyar in its list of nine emerging directors from around the world. Additionally, the famous Brazilian author Paulo Coelho publicly praised Rauniyar.
The film will be released across Nepal in theaters from Chaitra 1. In Nepal, Tiflk and Banktesh Entertainment will jointly release the film. Based on a true story, ‘Rajaganj’ tells the tale of a police operation to rescue two kidnapped children in a border town between Nepal and India.
The film’s production involved collaboration from Adi Films, with Director Rauniyar, Actress Magarati, Basuri Films (Ram Babu Gurung and Maniram Pokharel), Actor Dayahang Rai, and Tanhauser Gate (Alan R. Milligan).
