A five-day workshop on “Film Makeup” for filmmakers of Karnali Province began today with a special ceremony, organized by the Film Development Board.
The workshop has 27 local filmmakers participating. The opening ceremony was chaired by senior theatre artist and actor Yamanarayan Acharya, while the chief guest was Ganesh Bhattarai, former chairman of the Film Development Board. The event is being coordinated by the board member Raju K.C., and notable presence includes renowned filmmakers, including Prem Dev Giri, and other artists and literary figures from Karnali.
The workshop, aimed at enhancing the skills of filmmakers, will be conducted by senior beauty artist and trainer Shantu Tamang, who is a well-known figure in Nepali cinema. This training, running from January 30 to February 4, will provide local artists with practical knowledge on an essential aspect of film production—makeup—and is expected to significantly contribute to the enhancement of their skills.
