Film Development Board and Dhulikhel Municipality Signed Agreement For Outdoor Studio

On the occasion of the 39th anniversary of Dhulikhel Municipality, a preliminary agreement was signed between the Film Development Board and Dhulikhel Municipality for the handover of 1,300 ropanis of land.

The agreement was signed between Dhulikhel Mayor Ashok Kumar Byanju Shrestha and Film Development Board Chairperson Dinesh DC. The event was attended by former Minister of Communications Gokul Baskota, Deputy Mayor Nirajan Jangam, Film Development Board member KL Pidit, and former president of the Film Artists Association, Rabindra Khadka, among others.

During the signing ceremony, Chairperson DC announced plans to establish an outdoor studio for the Film Development Board in Dhulikhel. He stated, “This studio will be a milestone for the Nepali film industry. Our vision is to blend natural beauty with modern technology to facilitate film production.”

Similarly, Mayor Ashok Kumar Byanju Shrestha assured the municipality’s full support for the development of the film sector, stating, “This project will position Nepal as an international film destination while also promoting tourism and creating employment opportunities for locals.”

According to the Film Development Board, the project aims to attract not only Nepali filmmakers but also international film producers and directors.
