On the occasion of Fagu Purnima, the new film Outlaw: Dafa 219 is set to release this Thursday. Directed by Vicky Maharjan and produced by Amit Agrahari, the film has been in the making for two years, with the entire team putting in significant effort.

Director Maharjan states, “This film is not just about action. Along with action, it highlights an important issue in Nepal. It includes action, drama, comedy, and thriller elements. There’s a lot to watch. This time, audiences will be in for a big surprise. Not everything has been revealed in the trailer.”

He also claims that the story does not resemble anyone’s real life, adding, “This is a fictional story. The character is a gangster, but it’s a tale of revenge and justice. The storyline is quite intense.”

Meanwhile, producer Amit Agrahari explains that Outlaw: Dafa 219 was made because of a shared vision among the team. He says, “We have brought a subject that needed to be told. I believe this film will set a new benchmark for action in Nepali cinema. I didn’t make this film for financial gain but because of its fresh vision and unique theme.”

He further claims that Outlaw: Dafa 219 is unlike any recent Nepali film, stating, “We’ve seen action films, but they haven’t delivered the right impact. Outlaw will make audiences feel that. The response from viewers has been fantastic. This is our success. If the film generates enough revenue to fund another project, I will be happy.”

The film’s making, presentation, action sequences, and performances have been widely discussed. Lead actor Sushil Shrestha’s new avatar has surprised audiences. Because of this, the film is expected to perform well at the box office.
