Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Balendra Shah (Balen), has praised Sitaram Kattel (Dhurmus). After watching the ongoing film ‘Laj Sharanam,’ Balen openly praised Dhurmus.
On Monday evening, Balen watched the film ‘Laaj Sharanam’ at the QFX Hall in Durbar Marg, which is in its second week of screening.
“Such detail you’ve given! What detail! Last part was impressive. It was so enjoyable,” Balen praised Dhurmus after watching the film.
Praising Dhurmus, Balen embraced him and said, “You’ve done an excellent job. I am an artist myself, and we always want to show art. It was really enjoyable to watch.”
Balen had gone to watch the film without informing the media.
The song ‘Nepal Hāseko’ from the movie ‘Laaj Sharanam’ includes Balen’s voice, which gained a lot of attention among the audience. However, this song is not in the film. The song plays after the credit scroll begins.
The production team has not disclosed how much the film has collected so far. However, the collection report for the first day has been made public. On the first day, the movie collected 1 crore 10 lakh rupees.
Directed by Kumar Kattel, ‘Laaj Sharanam’ features Dhurmus in the lead role. The movie also stars Sitaram Kattel, Mahesh Tripathi, Vijay Baral, Arjun Ghirmire, Sagar Lamsal, Harish Niroula, Arpan Thapa, and others in key roles.
The film has been produced under the banner of JPT Creations, with Naveen Shrestha as the producer. Ram Naresh Shah and Srijana Khadka are the co-producers.
