‘Hostel 3’ Gets Equal Shows With Two New Films, Released in Middle Eastern Countries on Thursday

The Nepali film ‘Hostel 3’, which has been running in Nepal’s theaters since last Friday with a packed audience, has secured equal shows with two newly released Nepali films, ‘Anjila’ and ‘Outal: Dafa 219’, on the occasion of the upcoming full moon festival.

As of Wednesday evening, ‘Hostel 3’ is still showing with full-house audiences. According to its director, Sashan Kandel, viewers have returned to watch the film multiple times. He mentioned that the positive ‘word of mouth’ has played a significant role in the film’s success. Audiences are expressing their enjoyment, with some even excitedly meeting the artists. Many viewers have said that the film exceeded their expectations, providing full entertainment.

 

Even with the release of ‘Non-Holiday’, audiences have flocked to theaters. This film, aimed at the youth, has successfully attracted the core audience of Nepali cinema. Starring popular faces from the digital age, the film features Paras Bam Thakuri, Simran Pant, Ashish Ghimire, Padam Tamang, Hena Nagarkoti, Rihan Giri, Sama Parajuli, and others in major roles. Praveen Khatibda plays the role of the warden. Ashish Purush, Rohan Shrestha, Umar Khan, and Santosh Baniya are also part of the film.

 

Director Kandel expressed his happiness at receiving unexpected love from the audience in his first directorial project, thanking the viewers for their support. “By the end of the first week, the film has performed much better than expected. The greatest achievement has been the love and positive feedback from the audience,” Kandel said.

 

Additionally, ‘Hostel 3’ began its screenings in Middle Eastern countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Bahrain, from Thursday. The film has received a strong demand in those regions, and the film’s actor Padam Tamang has traveled to Qatar for its release. According to distributor Ashish Purush, the film has received significant interest in the Middle East.

 

Madhav Sharma wrote the screenplay and dialogues, and he is also the associate director. The producers of the film are Suresh Kandel, Karn Karki, and Govinda Adhikari, with co-producers Shishir Gwyali, Anish Sigdel, Kundan Gupta, and Ganesh Magar. Shankar Koirala is the executive producer, and Kosish Raj Chetri is the line producer.

 

Arjun Tiwari directed the cinematography, and the editing was done by Dinesh Dahal. Himal KC is the action director. The music was composed by Arjun Pokhrel, Almora Rana Upreti, Mahesh Gwyali, and Kiran Michael. Yam Oli did the production design, and Praveen Singh and Roshan Biskarmare directed the dance. The distribution of the film in Kathmandu Valley was handled by Kafia Films (Govinda Shahi), and outside the valley by RR Films (Rohit Kattel, Ratna Shrestha).
