On Saturday, all shows across the country were houseful, leading to additional screenings, which also quickly sold out, according to the director.

According to distributor Karan Shrestha, ‘Anjila’ continued to perform well at the box office on Sunday. While morning shows saw a relatively lower audience, afternoon and evening shows were mostly houseful, he added. On Sunday, the film team continued visiting cinemas to interact with audiences.

‘Anjila’ is based on the life of Anjila Tumbapo Subba, the captain of the Nepali Women’s National Football Team, with Anjila herself playing the lead role. The film presents an emotional journey of her struggles and triumphs from childhood to her professional career in football. The cast also includes Prem Kumar Shrestha, Sunil Thapa, Dayahang Rai, Vijay Baral, Sirjana Subba, Mao Tse Gurung, Sumin Gurung, and Buddhi Tamang.

With overwhelmingly positive audience reactions, the song ‘Raat Kin Huncha Hajur, Raat Kin Huncha’ from ‘Anjila’ has gone viral on social media. Sung by Thaneshwar Gautam and Shanti Shree Pariyar, the song has struck a deep emotional chord with audiences, prompting them to share heartfelt posts related to it. Various videos featuring the song are being created on TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube, further increasing the film’s popularity. The song’s lyrics were written by Prabha Bartaula, while Thaneshwar Gautam composed the music.
