On the occasion of Nepali New Year 2082, the sequel to the film Jari, starring Dayahang Rai, Vijay Baral, and Miruna Magar in lead roles, has been officially announced. On Monday, marking the Nepali New Year, the film’s first look was unveiled alongside the announcement of Jari 2.
In the poster released by the film’s production team, actor Dayahang Rai is shown playing a chyabrung (traditional drum). The film carries the slogan Song of Chyabrung. Like the blockbuster Jari of 2080 BS, Jari 2 will also be written and directed by poet and filmmaker Upendra Subba. The poster also mentions that the film is scheduled for release during Dashain this year.
Jari, Upendra Subba’s directorial debut, earned over 170 million rupees at the Nepali box office. The sequel, which will go on floors in the third week of Baisakh, will feature Dayahang, Vijay, and Miruna alongside actors Richa Sharma, Buddhi Tamang, Pushkar Gurung, Prem Subba, Maotse Gurung, Manhang Lawati, Bishnu Moktan, Kamalmani Nepal, Anil Subba, Rekha Limbu, Bedana Rai, and Sirjana Ninglekhu.
The film will be produced under the banners of Baansuri Films and Kabaddi Films, with Rambabu Gurung as the producer. The entire shooting will take place in various tourist destinations in Panchthar district.
