Menuka Nepali Classical Song ‘Badmas’ Released

 The classical-style Nepali music video ‘Badmas’ has been released. Featuring the music of renowned Nepali composer Nhyoo Bajracharya, the song showcases the powerful vocals of singer Menuka Poudel.

Produced under the banner of Namlo Events, the music video was officially launched on Wednesday during an event held in Kathmandu. The producer and lyricist of the song is Sundar Rajbhandari. Gopal Rasaili has worked as the arranger, and Vikrant Man Shrestha served as the executive producer.

The video has been directed by Bimalesh Adhikari, who has acted in hundreds of music videos and dozens of films. This marks his fifth directorial project in music videos. The video features performances by actress Sanisha Bhattarai and actor Biju Parki. Choreography was done by Karan Shah, cinematography by Hari Humagai, editing by Prabin Manandhar, and production management by Dipen Gautam (Michael).

Veteran singer Bikash Rana, senior poet and literary figure Biplav Pratik, actors Bipin Karki, Keki Adhikari, and Prashant Tamrakar, among other prominent personalities, were present at the event.

Speaking at the ceremony, writer Biplav Pratik said he was emotionally touched after listening to the song. He described composer Nhyoo Bajracharya as a “living legend” and praised the artistic depth of lyricist Rajbhandari, the sweetness of Menuka Poudel’s vocals, and the sensitive direction by Bimalesh Adhikari. He also noted that the performances of Sanisha and Biju added a new height to the video.

Lyricist Sundar Rajbhandari shared that he plans to release two songs each year, aiming to contribute to Nepali music through powerful creations. Director Adhikari mentioned that although he is primarily an actor, he focused entirely on direction for this project and strived to deliver his best work. Actors Sanisha Bhattarai and Biju Parki expressed pride in working with a capable team and said they were confident the audience would appreciate the video.
