Bishwa Prakash Sharma, the General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, has stepped into the world of music composition for the upcoming Nepali film Bigul.
The film will feature a song titled “Aau Yasto Desh Banaun” (Let’s Build Such a Nation), composed and written by Sharma himself. Both the music and lyrics of the song have been created by him.
Bigul is said to be based on contemporary social and political themes, and will be directed by Ramesh Koirala.
The song was recorded on Wednesday at Syarem Studio, located in Anamnagar. It has been voiced by renowned Nepali singer Rajesh Payal Rai.
“General Secretary Sharma has crafted lyrics that are both timely and meaningful, paired with melodious composition,” said director Koirala. “This song holds deep significance within the context of Bigul. Alongside his political acumen, Bishwa Prakash Dai’s creative depth in music and lyrics is truly admirable—I am humbled by his talent.”
Produced under the banner of Magnolia Group Pvt. Ltd., the film will star Naren Khadka, Benisha Hamal, Ramesh Budhathoki, Geeta Adhikari, and Sumod Bharadwaj, among others.
Principal photography for the film will take place in Chitwan.
